  16 <p><strong>It is generally considered bad behavior to remove versions of a library
  17 that others are depending on!</strong></p>
  18 <p>Consider using the <code>deprecate</code> command
  19 instead, if your intent is to encourage users to upgrade.</p>
  20 <p>There is plenty of room on the registry.</p>
  21 <h2 id="description">DESCRIPTION</h2>
  22 <p>This removes a package version from the registry, deleting its
  23 entry and removing the tarball.</p>
  24 <p>If no version is specified, or if all versions are removed then
  25 the root package entry is removed from the registry entirely.</p>
  26 <p>Even if a package version is unpublished, that specific name and
  27 version combination can never be reused.  In order to publish the
  28 package again, a new version number must be used.</p>
  29 <p>The scope is optional and follows the usual rules for <code><a href="../misc/npm-scope.html">npm-scope(7)</a></code>.</p>
